Google Ads
Ads that bring calls from people who need the job doing
Two kinds of Google ads work for trades. We set up the one that fits your work, or both, and show you what each enquiry costs.
Local Services Ads
These show your business with a Google Verified badge. You pay when a customer rings and you speak to them, when you ring back a missed call, or when they message you. Clicks cost you nothing.
In the UK they cover 28 kinds of work, including plumbers, electricians, roofers, carpet cleaning, heating, handymen and general contractors.
Before your ad can run, Google checks the business: background checks, insurance, and any licence your trade needs.
Google skips leads it decides are invalid, and you pay for the rest. In the UK there are no automatic credits for poor leads after that. So we keep your job types and areas to the work you want, and go through the leads with you each month.

Search ads
These show when someone types or says what they need: “boiler repair Derby”, “carpet cleaning near me”. You pay when they click through to your site, or ring you from the ad.
- We pick the searches that bring the jobs you want, in the postcodes you cover.
- We keep out searches from people who want a course, a job, a DIY guide or a machine to hire.
- We write ads that name the town and your offer.
- We run them in the hours you'll answer, and turn them up or down with your diary and the weather.
- We count calls from the ad alongside forms and WhatsApp taps from your site.
Bing
Once your Google ads bring jobs, we can copy them across to Microsoft's Bing and keep them running only if they pay their way.
Your budget
You set a daily budget, and we never raise it without asking. Google can go over it on a busy day, up to twice the daily figure, but not over the month. Set £10 a day and the most Google can charge in a month is £304.
Ad spend goes from your card to Google. Our fee is separate and flat, so you can see what Google charged.
What you see each month
Calls, forms and WhatsApp taps. What each one cost. The searches that brought them and the ones we blocked. What we changed, and why.
Questions about ads
How much should I spend on ads?
Tell us what an average job is worth to you, and what you'd pay to win one. Your check note suggests a daily budget from that, and you decide.
Can I turn the ads down in a busy week?
Yes. Message us and we'll pause them or turn them down the same working day.
Is your fee a share of my ad spend?
No. You pay a flat monthly fee, whatever you spend on ads, so we gain nothing by pushing your budget up.
